3. The Risk of My Jewelry?
Excellent question...At most places, yes. The reason why is because most jewelry stores and pawn shops use an acid to test your precious metals. That process requires scratching and even cutting into your Jewelry with a file. We use a state of the art Thermo Scientific Niton x-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzer. This is an x-ray gun that we direct at your jewelry and it will digitally tell us what percentage of gold or silver you have in each piece of Jewelry we analyze. We also keep an acid testing kit on hand as a backup for occasional pieces but we always get the customers permission first before using this method. We are PROFESSIONALS

4. Do we buy diamonds?
YES, we buy diamonds in many sizes, shapes & qualities. Occasionally we may have a large inventory of a particular size or shape diamond therefore causing us to have a low demand for that particular stone. If this becomes the case, the Jeweler will discuss with you different options such as, seeking a price from a distributor that buys from us or even possibly creating a consignment situation. Please inquire within about these options and we will help you determine the wisest solution.

5. Do we offer Loans?
NO, and with good reason. We don't participate in the 'Pawn Shop' practice of business as there often seems to be a loser in the situation. We are not here to bargain with you over your Jewelry. We are here to offer you our GUARANTEED HIGHEST CASH PRICE for items you want to sell and don't wish to retrieve back. Needing a temporary money fix, people often will take much less for their Jewelry as a temporary money fix, fully intending to come back and retrieve their items asap. Unforeseen money issues often arise, food....gas....oil, making this retrieval difficult or virtually impossible. End result....painfully, someone has let their valuable, possibly sentimental items go for far, far less than they would have. It is a 'lose-lose' situation and it is not a business practice we engage in. 6. Can a magnet determine if a piece is real or fake?
We do rest a high powered jeweler’s magnet against most pieces of jewelry to see if the jewelry sticks. This is just one step in helping us to determine the authenticity of an item. Household magnets will not work as they do not have the necessary power.

7. If an item is stamped gold, is it real?
Most times yes. However there are many fakes floating around that look real and even have stamps that say 10k or 14k etc. Always feel free to bring in your items for a free evaluation with absolutely no obligation or hassle.

8. Do I need to be 18 years old to sell?
Yes. The law states you must be 18 or older to sell and have valid identification.
